Located within an established San Gabriel neighborhood, the Pasqual Avenue project reimagines an existing single-story residence through a carefully integrated first- and second-story addition. The homeowners had outgrown their home and wanted to expand their living space without sacrificing the character that made the house feel rooted in its neighborhood. Our approach focused on creating a seamless addition that feels as though it has always been part of the original home, balancing contemporary living with architectural continuity.

Throughout the design review process, thoughtful massing, proportion, and window placement were refined to ensure compatibility with neighboring properties while addressing privacy and preserving the home's existing architectural language. By carefully integrating new and existing elements, the project demonstrates our belief that successful residential additions should enhance both the way a family lives and the character of the surrounding community.
